Dandelions ☺️☺️Weed or wildflower?Well, they are a bit of both. They are a naturally occurring native plant which play an important role in the ecosystem, so they are scientifically a wildflower, but in the context of a lawn, they are often called weeds, as a weed is after all, a plant growing where people don't want it.Like many, I used to be someone who strived for the perfect lawn, but after seeing an incredible amount of species visit my garden since leaving it rough around the edges, im now a hardened supporter of these little jokers 🐝Also, there seems to be a lot more this year, and they brighten up everywhere they grow#momentsm#flowersowers ... Isn't nature AMAZING !Here’s a small collection of shots I've taken over the past couple of weeks whilst out and about. You can certainly tell that spring is springing, as there's so much going on 🌿Whilst I'm certainly no photographer, and struggle to stay still long enough to get that perfect shot, due to my line of work, I often find myself in wildlife rich habitats and occasionally get lucky.I hope you enjoy them 🙂Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust The Bearded Birders White’s Wildlife Watch ... I've been telling porkies 🫣If your child comes home from the woods near Wybers and says...."some guy told us that the people who own the woods are thinking of flattening the bike jumps because of all the litter if we don't keep it tidy"Please just go with it 🤣The backstory......I responded to a local resident who informed me about a bike in the water and when I arrived there was empty bottles of pop everywhere, in and out of the river.Fortunately, most children don't litter, but those that do, often do it without malice. They don't think of the consequences. It's much better to engage with them than have a moan. So yeah, I took an interest in their jumping skills and the benefits of being outdoors and then the lie just fell out my mouth 🤣I'm expecting it to be reasonably tidy for the foreseeable...or not. We shall see.Freshney Comrades ... See MoreSee Less

Drama on the river 😳You know those moments when you collect a bucket load of golf balls from the river and as you're taking them back to the driving range, the handle snaps on your bucket? Well, that just happened 🤣On a more serious note, the weather conditions were perfect for attempting to retrieve the stray golf balls that have made their way into the water from the golf centre over the years. That said, this is a far bigger job than anticipated and with many embedded in the silt, we are simply causing too much disturbance to feel comfortable with our actions. We will work with the owner to look at alternative methods, but sadly, it's not a job we can undertake.I must add that last year, the owner took steps to mitigate the balls going into the river and we have to say that whilst not 100 percent foolproof, the changes have made a big improvement. All that aside, myself and Zac had a productive litterpick of the bank and river and considering the amount of footfall, it wasnt too bad which is nice to Freshney Comradesy Comrades (West Marsh Edition) including Jo, Jennifer and Maria sorted the banks and streets in the Boulevard area with a few items reported which will be removed when im nePickWalksPickWalks ...
