LOVES HORROR, HATES LITTER! πŸͺ¦β™»οΈThis was a brilliantly spooky idea from my mate Brighouse Carla and the rest of the team at Friends of Wellholme Park A little Halloween horror with a big environmental message. The scariest things lurking in our parks aren't ghosts… they're the things we throw away! Huge credit to everyone involved. Making a difference, by highlighting it in a unique way πŸ’šBravo πŸ‘ ...

Don't you just love a coincidence? ☺️A few days ago I was contacted by the very lovely Terry, who needed a bit of help sourcing a wildlife camera and getting it all set up.As it turns out, Terry is the mum of a girl I once poured my heart out to at school. I got the elbow. 🀣Fast forward 37 years and here I am, setting up a wildlife camera! Anyway, we got everything sorted, and hopefully Terry will start seeing some results. Her garden is incredibly wildlife friendly, thanks to all the hard work she's put into it.Oh, and it was lovely to discover that Terry's hedgehog house and birdErnie BrowncameYour Place Grimsbyr Place Grimsby. One of the volunteers had made them. πŸ‘It's always nice to see these things finding their way into gardens where they'll be put to good use.Good luck with the camera, Terry. I hope it captures some lovely visitors.πŸ¦” 🦊 🦑 πŸ¦‰ ...

We're in safe hands️ πŸ™Œ Our long and uninterrupted applause should be directed firmly in the direction of these wondeful humans !Ben, Scott and Aryan are all starting out on tThe Duke of Edinburgh's Award39;s Award and, like many others, have chosen litterpicking as part of their volunteer section.Looking after the environment, spending time in nature and doing somethong productive is such a rewarding thing to do. Plus, it saves me and Zac a job 🀣Jokes aside, seeing the amount of kids and young adults wanting to do something positive like this is really encouraging. It gives us hope.Thank you Ben for allowing me to join you on your first litterpick. The path through Barretts Rec is looking better already.Their hard work will all be recorded using our Cleanerwalks app. Good luck lads, im sure you'lPickWalkst CleanerWalkss North East Lincolnshire Councillnshire Council ...

I hope you don't think im moaning unnecessarily πŸ™I appreciate that Halloween is almost upon us now and for the most part the horse has already bolted, but I do think this needs saying, even if it helps for next year.I have a few followers on here and, whilst I know I have a certain amount of reach, I approach subjects with timidity. I'm really careful not to ruffle feathers or put noses out of joint. However, sometimes things need saying, even if not everyone agrees.Sorry not sorry. Please, can we think twice before covering our hedges and bushes in artificial Halloween cobwebs? My first concern is, as always, wildlife. Birds can become entangled in these fine strands, and this year I've particularly noticed an increasing number of insects getting caught in them too. With the unusually mild weather, there are still plenty of insects about, and these are an important food source for our wildlife. We are already concreting over gardens, removing natural cover, over manicuring our green spaces and making our surroundings increasingly sterile. Hedges are precious little pockets of habitat, especially for sparrows which are turning to these as nesting sites. Halloween is ace, but perhaps we can embrace it without compromising the wildlife that is already struggling Please leave the artificial cobwebs off the hedges.P.S. The photo's I've shared are ones I have taken local to me and arent stock imHalloween tNorth East Lincolnshire CouncilEaLincolnshire Wildlife Trustncolnshire Wildlife Trust ...

Would you stay here ?? πŸ‘»πŸ€‘On Wednesday morning i took a gentle drive to meet my cousin, the coastal officer at Gibraltar Point in Skegness.I was relaxed and content, until I drove past........The Singlecote Hotel 😱Now, who doesn’t love a front garden full of killer clowns 🀣 🀑 πŸ”ͺFortunately, the hotel change their decorations to suit the time of year and specific celebration. Give them a follow to see what's next !Hats off to them for making a massive effort πŸ‘Œ P.S. I've just looked on the net and it has wonderful reviews 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The Singlecote Hotel ...
